David proposed to me by the sea, and I didn’t hesitate to say “YES!” My heart raced wildly as he slipped the ring onto my finger. It was my father’s long-lost family ring.
David and I met at a cozy seaside resort. We fell in love instantly and spent hours walking along the beach. Three months later, David suggested a beach picnic. As the sun set, he proposed with a velvet box, and I joyfully accepted. But the ring looked familiar.
“David, where did you get this ring?” I asked.
“It’s a family heirloom,” he replied. “My mother gave it to me.”
Later, I realized it was my father’s ring. After the proposal, I called my dad, who revealed that the ring had been stolen by a former maid, Ursula. Shockingly, Ursula was David’s mother.
At our engagement party, Ursula revealed David was my brother. However, after further discussion, we discovered David was adopted. Relieved, we decided to move forward with our wedding plans.
Determined to unite our families, I invited Ursula to the wedding. She apologized for her past actions, and my father forgave her. Love triumphed as we embraced our future together, leaving the past behind.
