Colleen and Ray brought home a young boy, Ben, who shocked them the next day by nursing a baby in his room. This revelation upended their lives.
Ray noticed Colleen making boxed mac and cheese. “For Ben,” she explained. “He’s been so quiet.”
After devouring his meal, Ben quickly returned to his room. Curious, Colleen and Ray followed him and found him feeding a baby.
“Ben, who is this?” Colleen asked.
“She’s my sister,” Ben said nervously. “Not really. She’s the new foster at my old home. I couldn’t leave her. My foster parents aren’t good people.”
“They’re evil. She’ll be in danger,” Ben insisted.
Ben revealed Mr. Franklin had hurt him, and Mrs. Campbell, the foster coordinator, seemed to ignore it.
Colleen and Ray comforted Ben and decided to act. Colleen called Alana, a trusted social worker, who confirmed suspicions about the Franklins. She temporarily authorized Colleen and Ray as the baby’s foster parents.
Days later, Mrs. Campbell called, questioning Ben’s past. Colleen, cautious, revealed nothing but sensed danger.
Later, Mrs. Campbell and the Franklins confronted Colleen and Ray at their home, demanding the baby back. Alana intervened, presenting legal documents and starting an investigation against the Franklins.
Chaos erupted as the police arrived. Ben bravely testified, exposing the Franklins’ abuse. The police investigated, finding incriminating evidence.
The Franklins and Mrs. Campbell faced charges, and Colleen and Ray began a new chapter with Ben and the baby, Grace, in their care.
