Sadly, our individual journeys are just that: individual. Some of us experience nothing but kindness growing up. Others face extraordinary trials and tribulations from an early age. Others still go through things that no child should.
Chris Tomlinson, now a father of two daughters, has faced immense challenges in his life but has found strength in his faith. At a young age, he suffered severe burns in an accident, defying the odds of survival. Despite undergoing numerous surgeries, he maintained a positive outlook, crediting his faith for his resilience. Despite being told he may never have children and facing financial struggles, Chris welcomed two daughters and persevered through homelessness. Seeking to raise awareness about disabilities, he shared his story online, receiving unexpected support from strangers. Despite his wife leaving him, Chris found purpose in raising his daughters alone. A car accident prompted him to move back to his hometown with his daughters, realizing his true calling.
