Jennifer Aniston has spoken of the day the world lost Friends star Matthew Perry, insisting that the actor “wasn’t struggling” when they texted only hours before his death.

Perry, who shot to fame after playing Chandler Bing on the world-famous sitcom Friends, passed away in late October after many years struggling with alcohol and substance abuse.

Matthew Perry, 54, was tragically found unresponsive in the hot tub of his LA home, and despite efforts by first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Initially, there was speculation surrounding the cause of his sudden death. However, an initial toxicology report ruled out drugs like meth or fentanyl, suggesting Perry had not relapsed but was working to improve his life.

At his funeral, attended by loved ones and former Friends castmates, including Jennifer Aniston, it was revealed that Perry had been making positive changes in his life, including quitting smoking and getting in shape. Aniston shared that she had been texting with Perry on the day of his death and emphasized that he was happy and healthy, contrary to some rumors.
