Kelly Clarkson has been open about her struggle following her divorce. One of the things that she was reeling from was the financial fallout after her marriage ended. It seems now the singer might be getting some much-needed redemption.
Brandon Blackstock and Kelly Clarkson wed in 2013 before they finally divorced in 2021. Now, the ‘Because of You’ singer has finally settled a case that she had been fighting for a while with her ex-husband.
Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, who previously managed her, was found to have overcharged her in commission fees, resulting in him owing her approximately $2.6 million. Blackstock plans to appeal the decision. The California labor commissioner ruled that managers cannot secure employment for their clients, as only talent agents can do so. Clarkson was granted the majority of her requests in the settlement of their divorce, including primary custody of their children and ownership of their Montana ranch. Following their split, Clarkson found solace in New York City and focused on her career, expressing contentment with being single. She emphasized her commitment to her children and career, indicating she’s not seeking a romantic relationship at the moment.
