The woman raised an eyebrow, a sly smile forming on her lips. “Well, now you’re talking! Seven eggs for a buck? That sounds like a cracking good deal!”
They both chuckled at the egg-citing turn of events as the old seller carefully selected the freshest eggs and placed them in a carton. He handed it over to the delighted customer, who couldn’t believe her luck.
“Thank you, sir!” she exclaimed. “You’ve made my day, and I promise to make the most egg-cellent omelet with these.”
The old seller tipped his hat with a grin. “It’s been a pleasure doing business with you, Madam. Just remember, when it comes to eggs, I always hatch a good deal.”
With a playful wink and a nod, they parted ways, both with a newfound appreciation for the art of bargaining and a memorable story to share about the day they cracked a deal over a dozen eggs
