Whoopi Goldberg Makes Rare Appearance with Her Famous Daughter in Colorful Outfits, Igniting a Buzz

Whoopi Goldberg and her famous daughter made a rare appearance together at a recent event. The mother-daughter duo, who has co-starred in a beloved cinema classic, stepped out in style, donning colorful outfits. While many criticized the pair, others praised them, and some were surprised for a specific reason.

July 20 was a family affair for iconic actress Whoopi Goldberg and her loved ones. The legendary talent was joined by her famous daughter, Alex Martin Dean, to celebrate Whoopi’s new cannabis brand “Emma & Clyde.” Pictures of the two looking snazzy in colorful clothing have set the internet ablaze with many people asserting different opinions.

For the event, both Whoopi and Alex opted to wear colorful outfits. Alex sported a black one with blue, yellow, pink, and red flowers designed by fashion brand Alice + Olivia. It’s called the “Women’s Blue Melinda Floral-print Wide-leg Jumpsuit” and is currently listed at $1,035 on Lyst.

She has also co-hosted “The View” with her mom on some occasions, like when she appeared on the show to talk about “Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit” on June 5.

Alex and some of the cast, including Whoopi Goldberg, were discussing the film when the conversation veered toward nepotism (the act of those with power or influence favoring family members or close friends, etc.)

On the matter of whether or not Alex’s mom practiced nepotism to get her daughter the role in the movie, Alex divulged, “No, there wasn’t. I’ve heard you guys talk about this nepo baby stuff—I have yet to experience that […] I auditioned like everybody else.”
